Aims and ambitions.

My take on the cover design for James Clear’s self–help title, Atomic Habits. This opportunity was provided during my undergraduate Design Practise 2 module, in response to that year’s Penguin Book Cover Awards.

The idea behind this approach was to represent the themes of identity and environment design through spiral formation which heavily inform the changes in habits, as discussed by Clear in the book. I wanted to take the approach to this outcome in an abstract, symbolic, and non–lateral way that would allow open-interpretation towards the systematic approach of habit formation; an aspect of navigating life and habits that many, if not, all of us struggle to grasp at times.
